Event Space FAQ
Where is the event space?
We’re at 950 77th Ave in East Oakland, at the back of the long alleyway. It’s close to Coliseum BART, right off I-880, and a short ride from Oakland Airport.
Can I rent by the day or by the week?
Yes. Send an inquiry with your dates and what you’re planning, and we’ll get back to you with a quote. Hardware startups often rent week to week.
Can a hardware startup test on real cars?
Yes, by arrangement. Car lifts and shop tools are on site. Tell us what you’re testing in your inquiry so we can plan it safely.
Can we film a music video or commercial here?
Absolutely. Music videos have already been shot here. Productions are responsible for any required film permits and their own crew insurance.
Can I host a birthday party?
Yes. Speakers are available and the lounge has counters for food and cake. Lifts and shop tools stay off-limits during parties unless our staff are running them.
Is there parking?
We have some on-site parking in our secure lot, and Coliseum BART is close by. Let us know your headcount and we’ll plan around it.
Can I store equipment or props?
Yes, storage is available. Mention it in your inquiry.
Do I need insurance?
It depends on the event. Some rentals require a certificate of insurance, and we’ll let you know before we confirm your date.
